A Chinese online personality named Luo Mao Zi died by suicide last week. As per the records, she was encouraged by some members of her audience to drink pesticide during a Livestream on social media.

The news went viral on the web in no time as she had over 678,000 followers on Douyin with 38 short videos on her account.

Luo Xiao Maomaozi died on Friday and the cause of her death can be seen on her suicide video which was streamed live.

As per her live video, she drank pesticide during a broadcast on the Chinese app Douyin. But why did she drink pesticides? the answer; it was requested by her viewers.

During the streaming, she had said that her friends know how she was diagnosed with depression and had been in hospital for two months.

She was then taken to a hospital but she died during emergency medical treatment, her family confirmed as per local media reports.
